I'm an award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, and educator based in Vancouver, British Columbia. My work has earned a Juno Award nomination, a Polaris Music Prize shortlist nomination, and two Western Canadian Music Awards, and I've collaborated with artists including Illangelo (The Weeknd, Drake), Deputy (Rihanna), Jerrod Bettis (Adele), DJ Paul Oakenfold, as well as blues legends Hubert Sumlin (Howlin' Wolf) and Jody Williams (Muddy Waters).

Originally from Saskatchewan, my relationship with music started early—shaped by a grandfather who yodelled from the tractor, a father who worked as a professional auctioneer and songwriter, and a mother who sang radio jingles. That environment built an instinct for melody, rhythm, and storytelling before I ever formally studied music.

As I grew, I moved from Nirvana into a deep exploration of post-war Chicago blues, which eventually led me into years of touring North America and Europe as a drummer. During that time, I shared stages with artists connected to the Chess Records legacy and developed a grounded understanding of performance, groove, and musical communication.

In 2013, I was signed to a major publisher and invited to a Roc Nation songwriting camp at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles—the same studio where Michael Jackson’s Thriller was recorded. The following year, I travelled by train from Seattle to Detroit to work with soul legends Tony Green and L.J. Reynolds of The Dramatics, an experience that directly informed my second full-length album, Nature Girl. I’ve also performed at Los Angeles’ Hotel Café and other key listening rooms.

Since 2008, I’ve independently written, recorded, and produced four full-length albums while helping other artists develop and complete their own records. In 2019, I completed a Jazz degree at Vancouver Island University, and my work continues to move across folk, soul, R&B, country, rock, pop, and jazz—focused on clarity, emotional weight, and timeless songwriting.

Today, I work from my studio in Coal Harbour, Vancouver, where I split my time between writing, producing, performing, and mentoring artists in vocal technique, songwriting, and production.
